Carlyle Theas Solutions Wardrobe
Are you one of those people who like to have things in the right place just so you can find them when and where you want them? Well, this wardrobe could be just what you are looking for!
Or is it?
The basic premise of this wardrobe is that you store all your outfits in the wardrobe so all the guesswork is taken out of guessing what you look like in your chosen look. This is done by a kind of Windows-type menu. Once you have your outfits stored you can browse through at your leisure.
In order to be able to see your outfits in the wardrobe, you need to add a photograph of you in your clothes. You can do this by using the HUD on the bottom right of the picture. I have found that you can make good use of the HUD even without the Wardrobe. The HUD allows you to perform a significant number of model poses (both male and female as you select the option). It is a good idea to rez the posestand as you can use it to perfect the angle that you want to pose. There is also a facility to model against a backdrop. It also sets an optimal light setting for your model. Technically it is a photography studio within this package.
For me personally, setting up the wardrobe is problematical and time-consuming. Firstly, according to the readme instructions it is optomized to work with the Phoenix/Firestorm family of viewers. The information says nothing of the Linden Labs viewers at all! Apparently, you are supposed to set up the RLV facility in the Preferences menu before you do anything else. However, the rest of the work is quite time-consuming, and time is something I am short of.
The Wardrobe is priced at L$699 which might sound quite pricey, but bearing in mind that you have a piece of working furniture and a "photography studio" combined the price isn't that bad when you take into consideration that you cannot get a decent photo studio setup for less than L$600!
According the the reviews CTS have many satisfied buyers. Perhaps in time I might get full advantage of this wardrobe. Until then, I am happy just using the HUD for my photographs
