SPOTS 'N' STRIPES

Ever since I discovered DRBC/Sweet Tart in the Second Life Marketplace I have been amazed at the variety and quality of their merchandise.

Some of their designs are quite gothic in appearance and some quite cute. But all are quite unique and individual.

Several of the designs evoke the 1950s, such the dresses I have previously featured in my blog.

The latest addition to my wardrobe is the denim capri pants above. They are high-waisted and are trimmed with red and white polka-dot fabric. The pants fit perfectly and look stunning with a pair of high-heeled shoes. I have decided to stick with a red theme and matched the capris with a pare of N-Core shoes in "Red Passion" together with a red striped sweater from Maitreya.  I am sure that you would find other combinations equally as stunning!

THE SKULL & CROSSBOWS

I hope that you will excuse the play on words in the title. It's not easy finding snappy titles for these blog pages! LOL

With my feet still firmly stuck in theDRBC/Sweet Tart door, I took a shine to this sweater dress in black with a skull and bow motif.  I have added pantihose by No.9 Nylons and the boots are by "erratic".

I reviewed a pair of "erratic" boots in a previous blog.  These boots look so amazingly real!

BEAUTY & THE BEASTS

Being so impressed with the polka-dot dress I reviewed in my previous blog, I decided to check out more of the DRBC/Sweet Tart catalogue. My eyes were drawn to this dress which features horror figures such as Dracula, the Werewolf, Frankenstein's monster and more in a comic book design. The dress moves beautifully and despite being mesh the pictures barely distort at all.

For those of you who wear Lolas, this dress comes with Tango appliers

The hair is another Magika design. This hairstyle is a classic ponytail called Reflect.

PUSSYCAT POLKA!

I was recently seeking a ponytail hairstyle in mesh and thanks to my friends AnnaLaren and Gigi Lindemann I was directed to Magika hair designs.  Whilst many hairstyle creator possess an impressive collection of elaborate styles, very few offer a simple ponytail.  The style I am using above is called Meow (1).  The style is very classic in appearance. The hair comes with a HUD allowing you to selected the hair colour you wish. The colour of the hair-band can also be selected by the HUD.

To go with the hairstyle I chose this retro polka-dot dress designed by DRBC - also trading as "Sweet Tart".  DRBC have a range of rather gothic designs in clothing.  Reds, Whites and Blacks feature strongly in the range - especially polka-dots.  The dress I am wearing would not be out of place at any 1950s-style dance.  I love this dress as it is flared just enough to flatter the shape.  Strangely enough. even though the dress has a retro look, it still has a contemporary feel.
