THE MIX 'N' MATCH GIRL
IS "TICKLED PINK"

The Breast Cancer Awareness campaign has been much in my mind recently as several of my recent posts have shown. So far I have covered individual items of clothing, and my only issue has been co-ordinating footwear.

However, a "Hippy-style" outfit with micro-skirt has recently been promoted on the SL Marketplace. The outfit (M&M "Sakura") looked good, but I am not a lover of micro-skirts.  So I paired it with a Maitreya mini-skirt in Raspberry colour.  A pair of similarly coloured calf-length boots nicely complete the look...almost!

The M&M Hippy outfit comes with a pair of optional non-mesh bras.  I wasn't personally impressed with these bras, so I looked around.  I was a little worried about using a mesh bra under the fringed jacket, but after reducing the bra size by one mark I found that bra worked well - and looked amazing!

As I mentioned in a previous posting, getting colours from seperate creators to match can be fiendishly difficult, and none more so than pink.

I like how the outfit worked out.  I hope you do too!

STOP PRESS:  At the recent Breast Care Awareness event at Rez Nightclub this outfit won SECOND prize in the "Best in Pink" competition. My appreciation goes to the Ambrosio Entertainment Group, the event  organisers and the event sponsors.

TICKLED PINK ONCE MORE!

I simply adore those times when you discover a dress or other outfit that looks amazing, and yet retails at an even more amazing price!

For just L$175 MarieClaireK has produced this pair of gorgeous ruched dresses - and both versions are in the one package.

The usual mesh protocols apply and is available in 5 sizes.

To accessorize both dresses, I am wearing a pearl and ruby necklace produced by Bandit. This necklace is by far the most expensive item here, being L$1480. However, this also includes a bracelet and earings. I am only wearing the necklace. The bangles are by Zaara and retail at L$450. Although hidden by my hair I am also wearing loop earrings retailing at L$450 from Bandit

TICKLED PINK

"TICKLED PINK" is ASDA's contribution to Breast Cancer Awareness and in this year has so far raised almost £1.9 million towards research into this awful disease.  For those outside of the United Kingdom, ASDA is Britain's second largest superstore and is part of the WAL*MART family. Several of Britian's major food producers also get involved with the campaign and brand many of their products with pink wrapping and the TICKLED PINK logo. When you buy any of these products a contribution goes to the campaign.  Everyone is invited to contribute and if you wish to play your part click on the link above.

Do you like your dresses short and tight? This offering from Blueberry should be right up your street.  This mesh dress has a low-cut strappy back with a plunge front.  I admire any designer who takes risks with strappy outfits in mesh designs. It adds a certain credibility to the dress.

The dress is complimented with a pair of N-Core "Extreme Hell" counrt shoes in a "Candy" design.

PRETTY IN PINK

Having recently received an invite to a forthcoming "Pink" Breast Cancer Awareness event, I took a look through the pink outfits already in my Inventory.  However, none of the outfits seemed to match with my pink N-Core shoes.  The shade of pink was normally too light to match. Many of N-Core's pinks are quite vivid.

I eventually found the answer in this dress by VoguE.  This dress (branded as "Lorraine") has the added benifit of being quite a seasonal outfit.  As can be seen it is quite a loose-fitting dress with wide sleeves with a slit between the shoulder and elbow.  Being a loose-fitting dress, it does tend to hide your shape.

The dress is mainly mesh, however, the collar and scarfing is a prim attachment and is entirely optional.  On the cold autumn and winter evenings, it is perhaps preferable to keep your boobs warm!

The pink detail - as well as the main black of the dress - allows you a wide choice of shoe colours to use.

As with my previous blog, I am wearing another new hair by Truth.  This style is called Havana.  I like it a lot, but I would appreciate your comments.

Volstead "Liaison" Chemise

The chemise is an ancient garment which is believed to have dated from Roman times.  For many years both men and women wore the chemise as a kind of undergarment.  For women, the chemise remained as a item of lingerie, but it is believed that for the men the chemise became the T-shirt we see today.

Although normally regarded as an undergarment, from the early 1800s the chemise also became to be worn as an outergarment.  During the early 20th Century the chemise as a lady's underwear fell out of favour following the development of modern lingerie such as the brassiere, girdle, full slip and panties.  However, in the 21st Century the chemise has once again become popular - both as an outergarment and item of lingerie.

The chemise I am modelling in the picture is of the "Liaison" collection by Volstead and comes in 10 colours.  Although a mesh dress, the chemise comes with a couple of "glitch" attachments.  Without these attachments the chemise would be "see-through".  I attempted to replace the glitch attachments with underwear.  I would recommend that any underwear would be non-mesh.

Those of you who follow my blogs may have noticed a new hairstyle.  This is one of the mesh collection by Truth Hair.  The style here is Chilali.
